Motion Concerning Formation of a Attendance Tracking Committee

Senate Meeting, November 3, 2011

In keeping with the College’s venerable history of shared governance, I move that the Senate request the Administration to create a joint committee of faculty members and administrators/staff to study the federal legislation requirements for pursuit in college courses and generate recommendations to the Senate and Administration on the manner of compliance with these requirements.  The committee should aim for implementation of the resulting attendance tracking policy to take effect at the beginning of the fall semester, 2012.
