Textbook Affordability Motion (Issue #4) --Curt Rainey, Rich Siciliano, Angelique Yu

The Textbook Affordability work group has decided that our issue has been “overcome by events” because of the many production, leasing, and marketing innovations adopted by the textbook publishing industry, and the widespread efforts made by Maryland institutions of higher learning to provide students with timely information concerning texts and encourage faculty to consider cost in choosing their texts.

Therefore, we move that the Textbook Affordability issue be removed from the list of issues under consideration and be declared concluded, and that the Council’s webmaster, Richard Siciliano, be authorized to place a few links on the Council’s website to other websites focused on saving money on texts.
