Before, during and after the trial the parties to the lawsuit will file motions. A motion is a written request to the court asking that the court act in a certain manner. The only time a motion can be open is when it is made in open court. Don't let that fool you. After it is made in open court it must then be filed in writing. |

| Title 3 of the Maryland Rules covers the rules for civil procedure in the Maryland District Courts. Using the rules found in Title 3 relating to these motions prepare a chart showing the information found in Title 3 regarding these motions. Use the Maryland Law library website to access this information as you have before. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Once the trial is completed the winning party will want to execute upon the verdict and try to collect whatever money or property he/she can collect form the losing party. There are a number of ways to accomplish that task. They will be examined in the Post Trial Procedure Assignment. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
