Law Dictionary

Use print media (Chapter 16) such as the Black's Law Dictionary or any legal dictionary,  then an internet source such as Findlaw  or  any other legal website (Chapter 17)  answer the following questions. 
Please be specific as to where you found the information when citing your answers.
Cite the source in proper Blue Book Form.
Insert the information found into the  of the Paralegal Reference Manual.
Locate the following:
Jurisdiction
Venue
Appeal

Write an Informal Memorandum including the definition.

Insert the memorandum into the Federal Civil Procedure and Maryland Civil Procedure sections of the Paralegal Reference Manual.

Most secondary sources of Law cannot be accessed through the internet for free.  A subscription is needed.
 Anne Arundel Community College provides the license for you.  As noted previously, you have access to the Lexis database (ID and Password sent via email in WebCT) and the Westlaw database.  There should be no problem finding the answers requested in Chapter 17 with the information provided to you.

Law Encyclopedia

Use print media (Chapter 16)  the Maryland Law Encyclopedia,  then an internet source (Chapter 17) such as Lexis (www.lexis.com - you must have the Id and Password sent to you in WebCT)  or Westlaw (must be used on campus).  Generally, Legal Encyclopedias are not available on the internet for free so you will need passwords to locate them. 
Locate the following terms:
Larceny as a Tort (Trespass to Chattels)
Larceny as a Crime
Assault as a Tort
Assault as a Crime
Battery as a Tort
Battery as a Crime
The following are Legal Encyclopedia's and you may use any one available on the Internet research portion of the assignment.  You must use the Maryland Law Encyclopedia for the print media assignment
Corpus Juris Secundum
American Jurisprudence
**Maryland Law Encyclopedia

Insert the memorandum into the Torts (Trespass to chattels and assault as torts) and Criminal Law (Larceny and assault as crimes) sections of the Paralegal Reference Manual.

Use print media (Chapter 16)  the Maryland Digest 2d.,  then an internet source (Chapter 17) such as Lexis (www.lexis.com - you must have the Id and Password sent to you in WebCT)  or Westlaw (must be used on campus.  Generally, Digests are not available on the internet for free so you will need passwords to locate them. 

Locate the following:
