Module 1
Assignment

In Module 1 a student will begin building his/her "Paralegal Reference Manual."  this manual will be very important to the paralegal student as he/she continues through the paralegal program.  The continuing paralegal student  will be able to use the manual each time he/she begins a new course.  The Paralegal Reference Manual will provide an opportunity for the student to review and refresh the material he/she has already mastered.  In addition, it will provide a springboard to give him/her a head start on the new course material.  The student should also continue to add to the manual by inserting material from future courses into the appropriate section of the Paralegal Reference Manual.  Most importantly the student will be able to use some of the material contained in the manual to create a portfolio for future job interviews.
At this time you are to merely set up the Paralegal Reference Manual.  You will begin adding your work as you progress through each chapter.

Paralegal Reference Manual Organization

  • The manual should at a minimum contain  the following enumerated sections.

  • Each section may be further subdivided by the student.

Table of Contents
The Table of Contents should include the contents of each section of the Manual.  It is best if you keep a list of all of the documents that you insert into the manual as you proceed through the course.  It is far more difficult to create this list at the end of the course.
