Addition Rule

In this section we will look at the probability of the compound event A or B where A and B are events. (i.e. we will be trying to find P(A or B)

What does A or B mean?

Many people think of "or" as exclusive (either event happens but not both). In this course we will be using the " inclusive or " which means that either A or B or both occur.
