4 credit hours – Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one semester.

          An introduction to members of the plant kingdom and their closest relatives.  A study of the unique life strategies of plants that are the basis for their importance to man and their role in shaping global ecology. Through an examination of plant form and function, students will learn how and why plant life defines the biological potential of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.  Lab fee $40.
   Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 111 and eligibility for any general education math.
