BIO 101 Fundamentals of Biology

4 credit hours – Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one semester.

          A study of the basic biological principles common to living organisms and insights into scientific methods used to determine those principles. Topics include biological molecules, cell structure and metabolism, biological organization, homeostasis, reproduction and development, and heredity and evolution. Lab fee $30.
   
  Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 111 and eligibility for any general education math.

Note: Credit is not given for both BIO 101 and Bio 231.
