BIO 102 Biology for the 21th Century

3 credit hours – Three hours of lecture weekly; one semester.

          An introduction to concepts in modern biology and their impact on society. The scientific method as a way of learning will be stressed. Areas of emphasis include cellular and molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology and evolution. This course does not satisfy a lab science requirement. 
          Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 111 and eligibility for any general education math.
          Note: Credit is not given for both BIO 101 and Bio 102.
