BIO 207 Plant Propagation

3 credit hours – Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one semester.

          An introduction to the principles and practices used in the propagation of native and cultured plants. Study how the techniques of seed propagation, cuttings, grafting, separation, division and micropropagation are used to produce plants for home use and commercial applications. Learn how plants are improved through plant breeding and genetic modification. 
Lab fee $30.

Prerequisite: BIO 103 or BIO 113 or permission of department chair, eligibility for ENG 111 and eligibility for any general education math.
