Answer and Explanation

The potassium will be a significantly better conductor of electricity than phosphorous.

The student should note that potassium is on the extreme left of the periodic table, and thus a metal while phosphorus is to the right of the metal/non-metal dividing line, and thus a non-metal. Therefore, the chunk of potassium should conduct electricity very well, while the chunk of phosphorus should not.
