Competency #7
Predict the products for simple chemical reactions
Learning Objective e
- e. Explain conservation of mass in various chemical reactions.
Question
Write down your answer to the following question:
When nitrogen gas combines with hydrogen gas at high temperatures, ammonia is formed. This reaction is written as follows: N2(g) + 3 H2(g) 2 NH3 (g)
If you combine 28 g of N2 and 6g of H2 all of the gases react and make ammonia. What mass of ammonia would be formed?
