BIO 135: Introductory Nutrition - lecture format
(3-credit hours, offered each semester - days, evenings and Saturday mornings)
 
Catalog Description: Focus on nutrients, including their digestion, absorption and physiological function in the body. Emphasis is placed on normal nutrition and the relationship between nutrients and chronic disease. Nutrient needs of the healthy person through stages of the life span are included. This course does not satisfy a lab science requirement.
BIO 135: Introductory Nutrition - On-line Format
(3-credit hours, offered each semester - students must come to campus or some other pre-approved testing center four times per semester)

Emphasis is placed on normal nutrition and the relationship between nutrients and chronic disease. Nutrient needs of the healthy person through stages of the life span are included. This course does not satisfy a lab science requirement.
BIO 136: Introductory Nutrition and Laboratory
(4-credit hours, offered once each semester in lecture/lab format)
 
Catalog Description:  Focus on nutrients, including their digestion, absorption and physiological function in the body. Emphasis is placed on normal nutrition and the relationship between nutrients and chronic disease. Nutrient needs of the healthy person through stages of the life span are included. Includes a laboratory experience. Lab fee $25.00
