Instructions for Installing Maple Software If you choose to purchase and install the Maple software on your computer (Option 2 on the Maple Information Page), this page will guide you. (1) Purchase and install the Maple software on the computer you use. (The current version that is installed on the computers in the computer labs in rooms Math 206 and CRSC 190 at Anne Arundel Community College as of Spring 2017 is Maple 18. We use the Classic Maple option for simplicity. The student version that is available for you to purchase from MapleSoft for Spring 2017 is Maple 2016, is quite adequate and costs about $100.) Most software retailers will not accept returns on software, so ascertain that the course is running before opening the Maple wrapper and installing the Maple software. If you wish to get acquainted with the software before installing it on your computer, feel free to drop by the Math Department to use Maple in the Math Computer Lab in Math 206.. (2) Associate ".mws" files with Maple on your operating system. Should you have difficulty with either of these tasks, please contact
your instructor(s). Fortunately these two tasks will have to be
done only once for the entire course. You
can then open the Maple worksheets that we provide with a few clicks.
