#1 Reserved reading summary - evaluation criteria

Goal 1: Organization - Was the paper logically organized?  Did the points flow readily from one to another?

Goal 2: Clarity and attention to detail - Was the paper clear regarding writing style? Were proper rules of grammar and punctuation used?  Was the spelling accurate?  Were the paragraphs well formed and coherent as units within the paper?

Goal 3: Thoroughness - Did the paper include most of the main points with the space limits? Were the main points clearly identified.  Were the key terms/concepts highlighted? 

Goal 4: Originality - Did the paper convey the sense that the author was composing 'in his/her own words' and thus truly understood what was being written (vs. paraphrasing)
